Chichester’s Under-11 girls cricket team continued their remarkable season with a strong showing at the regional finals held at North Middlesex Cricket Club. Representing Sussex as county champions, the team faced off against elite squads from Essex, Surrey, Kent, and Middlesex in a spirited day of competition.
The young cricketers displayed skill, teamwork, and determination throughout the tournament, securing impressive victories in two of their three matches. Their efforts earned them the runner-up position—an outstanding achievement against some of the best junior teams in the South East.
Coach and supporters alike praised the girls for their composure and sportsmanship, noting the team’s growth and camaraderie as key ingredients in their success. With the season drawing to a close, Chichester’s U11 girls have firmly established themselves as one of the region’s rising cricketing forces.
