Club Secretary – help bring cricket to the community

The role of the club secretary in a community cricket club is vital to its success and cohesion.

This individual not only manages the administrative tasks that keep the club running smoothly—such as committee and membership communications and maintaining records—but also can serve as a bridge between players, coaches, and the wider community.

By fostering relationships and promoting inclusivity, the club secretary ensures everyone feel welcome and valued, enhancing team spirit and participation. Their organisational skills and attention to detail enable the club to focus on what truly matters: playing the game, developing talent, and building lifelong friendships. In essence, the club secretary is more than just an administrator; they are the glue that binds things together so that the cricket is available for all to enjoy.
